Chef Jean Paul Luvanvi has been a Culinary Chef in Santa Barbara for 20 years. His passion is helping people heal themselves through food and is a true advocate and living example that quality food can increase one's chances of a happier and healthier lifestyle. Jean Pauls continues to spread this message not only to health clinics, but also through teachings, recipes, privately catered events, meal planning and private deliveries to families throughout Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

Born in France to a French father and Vietnamese mother, Jean Paul’s love for food is in his genes. His knack for combining pleasantly unexpected flavors, has caused him to be a highly sought after talent in the culinary field. With a resume that boasts success at well-known Californian favorites such as the Cliff House, the Beverly Hills Health Café, the Fish House, the Shellfish Company, La Barca, Chad’s, DISH, and Le Bon Café, Jean Paul now uses his skill and expertise, to focus on his passion: helping and healing people through food.

Combining the French flair ingrained in him from his mother’s Cordon Bleu training with his familial Vietnamese cuisine, Jean Paul started early learning to fuse flavors. Adding his love for southwestern seasonings and exotic tastes from around the world, Jean Paul’s culinary palette expanded. He used this broad reservoir of taste combinations to transform the concept of 'health food' into something flavorful, exotic and always nutritious.

Advancing his message of healthful eating, Jean Paul coordinates a specialized organic food project for cancer patients at the Issels Clinic of Santa Barbara, where he carefully plans meals and measures the impact that quality food can make during the chemotherapy process.

Jean Paul’s message is promoting overall health through food. He is a true advocate and living example that quality food can increase one's chances of a happier and healthier lifestyle. He continues to spread this message not only to clinics, but also through his teachings, recipes, privately catered events, meal planning and private deliveries to families throughout Santa Barbara, Hope Ranch and Montecito.

Throughout the upcoming months, Jean Paul will be making appearances across Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.
